Should you redeem it?
It's an okay redemption, but not a standout. If you're flexible, you'd likely get more out of your points on a Best or Good rated item instead — but if the Original Chicken Sandwich is what you actually want, it's not a bad use of points.
The Original Chicken Sandwich redeems for 700 Royal Perks points against a menu price of $6.49, working out to 0.93 cents of value for every point spent. Ranked against the other 23 redeemable items in the program, it comes in at #14 — a fair value. If you're deciding between redemptions at a similar points cost, the full value table shows every option ranked side by side.
